Bitcoin Exchange Notarizations and Apostilles in Vancouver, BC

There are many Bitcoin exchanges where you can quickly and securely trade bitcoins with other people around the world with your local currency. Virtual bitcoins are a practical way for merchants to take cash-like transactions. Once you have been paid for a good or service in Bitcoin, the money is owned by you and cannot be charged back. There are no fees to accept Bitcoin, which means higher margins or more competitive pricing.

Brosgall Legal | Notary Services specializes in the Bitcoin Exchange notarization and verification process. For further information about these applications, or to discuss getting your documents notarized to sent overseas, please contact Brosgall Legal. You can send us an email or call us at 604-685-ADAM [2326]. You may also visit our home page for further information.

Interestingly, in October, 2013, Bitcoiniacs opened the world's first Bitcoin ATM machine right next door to our building - inside the Waves coffee shop at 900 Howe Street. This is the Bitcoiniacs website, and here's a Business Insider article about the launch.

Set up your Bitcoin Accounts with Assistance from Brosgall Legal

In order to set up your Bitcoin account, there are certain requirements that must be complied with for AML (Anti-Money Laundering), and KYC (Know Your Customer). As Bitcoin exchanges handle both Bitcoin and fiat currency (Dollars, Euros, etc.), they are bound by the civic laws of host countries, along with various international regulations. Just as banks in most countries must be regulated to ensure they are not facilitating money laundering, terrorist financing, etc..., Bitcoin exchanges are obliged to follow the same rules.

The process involves forwarding certain documentation depending on the type of account you are opening. You will likely be asked to provide one piece of government issued photo ID, such as a driver's license or passport. You may also be asked to provide some form of proof of residence document, which is an official document issued within the last three months bearing both your name and full street address. Usually, Brosgall Legal's clients send a utility bill, internet bill, cell phone or mobile phone bill, tax return, residency certificate issued by your local government, voting registration form, or a medical insurance bill.

Document Requirements

Quite often, Bitcoin exchanges will require that documents be notarized with an Apostille. However, as Canada is not a member of the Apostille Convention, Apostilles cannot be done in Canada. The process in Canada is Authentication and Legalization of documents. Simply bring us the required documentation, and we'll take care of everything.
