Most official documentation is still produced in a hard copy format (i.e.: transcripts, certificates, diplomas, etc.). Brosgall Legal | Notary Services certifies and notarizes these documents all the time. You simply visit our notary public office with the original hard copy, and we'll make a photocopy and certify that the copy is a true copy of the original.
But what happens when a document is only available online (i.e.: corporate documentation, utility bills, bank statements, income tax returns, etc.). True hard copies of these types of documents do not actually exist - all we do is download and print the online version. Despite this problem, third parties still require certified copies of these online documents. This has presented a new challenge to the notary profession: How to make certified copies of online/electronic documents?
How to Notarize Online Documents
Brosgall Legal | Notary Services has a system to deal with this issue. When you visit our office, simply provide us with the online address (URL) of the web page or online document you need to notarize. Or you can use your devise to show us while you are logging on to the website. Either way, we will visit the webpage with you to view, verify, and print out the e-document. We then prepare and attach our notarial stamp or certificate to certify we have viewed the online document and that the printed version is a true copy of that document. This procedure is only available for electronic documents that Brosgall Legal actually views online ourselves. We cannot certify a scanned PDF that you send us via email, as we need to see the most original version of your document 'right from the source' before we can certify it as a true copy.
Basically, if an original physical document exists, we must see it in person. When your document can only be viewed online in electronic format, Brosgall Legal can still prepare a certified copy using the online document notarization service described above. Either way, we can get the job done! Brosgall Legal specializes in e-document certification and notarization, so you can trust your important and urgent jobs to us.
