Vancouver Notary can Swear your ICBC Unregistered Vehicle Declaration (MV1484)

Have you recently picked up an old motorcycle, trailer, or vehicle... but don't have its proper papers? In situations like these, ICBC has a special form that you can fill out to register the vehicle. Whenever the proper supporting documentation is missing, you must sign a specific statutory declaration, which has an unique indemnity clause. The form is called 'Unregistered Vehicles and Missing Signatures Declaration' (MV 1484), and can be picked up from an Autoplan office, or you can open and print the attachment at the bottom of this article. The Declaration must be filled out by you, and then brought into our office to be sworn.

This article will explain more about this Declaration, and how Brosgall Legal | Notary Services can assist.. If you have any questions, or want to book an appointment, please send us an email or call us at 604-685-2326. You may also visit our home page for further information.

Purpose for the ICBC Declaration

  1. It allows for the registration of unregistered vehicles;
  2. It allows for the transfer of a vehicle when the seller's signature is missing; or
